Message I have my car insured through Classic Automobile Insurance Agency. Before insuring with them, I heard nothing but good about them. Most 'hotrod' guys know them and insure through them. They are out of Indiana and you can call them toll free at 1.800.397.0765 or visit their website at [ http://www.classicins.com ]

When I first started putting a lot of money in my Z, I insured it for a value of $25,000.00 and my premium was $500.00 a year. I added $35,000.00 each Liability and Uninsured Motorists with a $500.00 deductible for another $45.00. Total premium for the year = $545.00. That is even the "California" premium. Other states should be lower. Currently, it is insured for $45,000.00 and the premium isn't much higher. Anything over $50,000.00 needs to be appraised.

You only need to send in pictures of front, sides, rear, interior and engine.

Of course there are stipulations to the policy too. It can only be used for:

-pleasure driving
-exhibitions
-club activities
-parades
-other driving not in violation of the provisions below.

Coverage does not apply when the insured vehicle is used for:

-backup transportation
-errands
-driving to or from work or school
-business or commercial use
-utility use which includes towing, hauling, or off road use
-participation in, practicing or testing for any racing, speed contest, time trial or track even of any kind, whether competitive or not (that's pretty standand though).

It must also be kept in a fully enclosed, locked, permanent structure garage facility when not in use, with the exception of during and in course of a car related event or overnight trip.
